None of those happened in the pocket. None of those pictures show a QB getting slammed to the ground by their chin.

Do you really not see the difference?

I KNOW it was a penalty. Because it was. Sorry you are dumb to the rules of football.

Its called everytime, no doubt. But the roughing the passer rule states the passer has to be passing or just passed when contacted for it to be roughing the passer. Just saying...we all know it is going to be called no matter what...may not want to call people too dumb to know the rules.

and before you insert the section of the rule re: hits to the head....scroll up and see that it falls under the "roughing the passer" rule....

What were your thoughts on their take that PI should have been called against the Panthers?

I watched their take on Brees on Youtube. I haven't seen their take on the PI since I didn't watch that game.

Brees was not brought to the ground by the neck. Brees went down because he got hit from behind. The arm ended up sliding up to the neck, but there was nothing the defender could have done about that. He is not allowed to put his weight on top of Brees and take him to the ground.

He was trying to make a legal hit.

You're either retarded or being obtuse. Look at the picture a few posts above yours and then look at your pictures. Brooks is forcing forcing Brees 's head into extension toward the ceiling due to pressure through the chin. That has NEVER been ok.

I am to the point, after lurking these threads, that I believe he is trolling. No way he can look at those gifs and pics and keep being a retard like this.

Look at the picture

Or you could watch the play and see Brooks clearly hits Brees in the chest. The fact that his arm slid up Brees' body while he was going down is irrelevant. It was not a blow to the head/neck and he did not pull him down by his chin. He knocked him to the ground when his arm destroyed Brees' chest.

That's obviously what he did. Anyone who disagrees is either blind or has an agenda.

Actually, it isn't irrelevant at all. According to the NFL.

You guys are an impossible kind of stupid. I always liked the Saints too. I guess I should have realized/taken into account most LSU fans are Saints fans too. Whiniest fan bases in the country no doubt.

So you agree with everything the NFL does?

Look even though i was hard headed about it and eventually conceded that it was a flag worthy. However, there was nothing malicious about the hit and in no way should he be fined for this. If anything the Saints should be fining the OT for getting torched

Showing a gif of a partial of the play in 5 times slow mo shows the intellectual dishonesty. If you want to debate the play, show the whole play. Heck if you show JFK getting shot in 2 frames in slow mo it looks like he got shot in the front of the head.

Yeah, flag worthy probably not fine worthy but 16K is chump change to a lot of these guys plus they usually pool their money together in the locker room to pay for these kind of things.

He couldnt have bent down just a little bit and made a clean, form tackle? Yes, he most certainly could have. He had that opportunity and went high. It was a dumb play by him.
