One of the worst coaching jobs in that school's history.

ND Nation post saying it came from the AD:

Apparently this came down from Jack. Not sure how accurate, but apparently Kelly was forced to make this move and told to save this season. If there isn't improvement, there will be a "mutual parting" at the end of the year.

Comes across as a huge douchebag.

He and Brian Kelly seemed like a good fit.

And yet he will still get another job. Crazy how people just fail from job to job.

He was DC at South Carolina for like 2 weeks during the offseason about 8 years ago. He has been everywhere.

BVG is drop the top on his Camaro, pop in some Van Halen, buy a box of Marlboro reds and take a nice long drive.

I'm surprised they hired him after seeing Auburn's 2012 defense.

I thought he said the coaches don't do anything wrong? This is 100% on the players

Kelly has to win out to save his job IMO. Anything less than a 9-3 season and he's gone.

There might be a multitude of high profile jobs open at the end of the season.

Wouldn't it be pretty ridiculous for them to fire Kelly this year? I mean after several tries they finally found someone who brought them back to relevance. Firing for a four loss season would seem extreme but what do I know
