First it was Kerr sitting his stars. Now LeBron, Kyrie, and Love all sit against LAC. Wilbon, Rose, and Sage are giving it to the league right now

How has ABC/NBA not figured out having a plan to flex National TV games amidst all the resting?

Even if they did this, there would be no way of televising another game if teams announce who's not playing the day of the game.

The team still would have to announce that they're sitting players a few days in advance

It's a good strategy, but am I the only one who believes theyre resting them just to rest them? Not to show their cards to potential contenders? Why Else did the Spurs/Warriors game have everyone benched? It wasn't a "hey we're pretty tired coach, lets sit tonight. Oh we're playing Spurs, yeah lets rest."

Good point. Those guys are grasping at straws to find a solution when in reality, there really isn't one. JVG will guaranteed to have a good rant later on

could be both, IMHO.

realistically, you expend more energy playing better teams even if its the same MPG. A team that plays a quick pace like GS/Houston, youre running a whole lot more in 35 minutes than normal. Those teams are also a lot better and make you work on both ends compared to say the bottom 5

also gives the other teams less tape

Or at this point in the season, just show teams fighting for a playoff spot / playoff seeding. You know the top 3/4 teams will rest players occasionally, so flex each week to teams that have something to play for

Cowherd said they sit to basically protest whoever makes the schedule/primetime games. Said the good teams get "used."

Yeah teams like Denver, Portland, Milwaukee, Miami, etc. will not be resting any stars at this point of the season

This is getting absurd. I get the point of doing it from a competitive standpoint, but this needs to be addressed in the next CBA. At least make it a rule that you can only sit your players at home games, so the fans that spend their hard earned money to see these stars play the one time they visit for the season don't get screwed.

Couldn't make it a rule you had to announce 6 hours before the game?
