I agree that the '89 49ers were better, but they were 14-2 that year. They outscored their opponents in post season 126-26.

Bears outscored their opponents 91-10 that postseason. They also had 2 shutouts.

During the regular season the bears outscored their opponent 456-198. Niners were 442-253. Obviously the niners were a great team, but I think the Bears were better.

84 49ers were also 15-1 but never get the kind of love the 85 Bears get. I have never understood it. I think it's because the Bears had a D-Lineman play fullback or something. Great team but most overrated "best ever" type team by far.

95-96 Bulls are overrated. Expansion year. They did average for a good championship team in the playoffs. Jordan even said that wasn't the best team he was on.

27 Yanks

Jordan's best team he was ever was the 27 Yanks? Didn't know that.

85 Bears. They would kick the shite out of everyone.

The superbowl shuffle puts them over the rest.

Your vote comes off as agenda related regarding Jordan.

As great as that Wings team was (and I'm biased here ) i'd still take the Bulls or Yankees teams ahead of them.

I wasn't alive for the 85 Bears

The 2012-2013 Miami Heat led by the big four (James, Wade, Bosh, and Nash) will end this discussion for the foreseeable future with a 74 win regular season and undefeated postseason

Awesome and you guys posted back to back.

Ron Burgundy, just you did not see the team does not mean they cannot be the best. I do not remember the 1996 Bulls, so I guess they cannot be the best, right?

I vote for 27 Yankees

If you go by run differential, the '39 Yankees were better than the '27 Yankees and '98 Yankees. The '39 Yankees are the only team in MLB history to outscore the opposition by 400 runs or more. They also had a team ERA+ of 132 with seven pitchers winning ten games or more. Every starter in their everyday lineup reached double digits in homeruns back when homeruns were a lot harder to come by. And imagine how good they would have been if Gehrig hadn't been stricken with ALS.

you are by about 20 games, Switzer only had one season when he won every game. I believe that Switzer sooners won 27 or 28 in a row

I am not saying that at all. I'm saying voting for a team that you have little context on to how great they were makes your vote worthless. Like voting for the hottest chick and someone saying Cleopatra. The teams in question (don't forget the OP didn't mention them, therefore, not valid) all have recorded play for one to judge. The 27 Yanks have (possibly inaccurate) boxscores.

But for argument sake, if you never saw the Bulls play then no you have no idea what you talking about.

Why? You can look at the statistics and accomplishments and recognize that they were great teams.

It does not take a rocket scientist to realize that Murderer's Row or the Bulls with Jordan in his prime were all-time great teams.
