Eagles would make a TON of sense for Kaep considering what Kelly wants to do. I still think that Foles is at least as good as Kaep, and their new contract with Sanchize is super retarded, especially if they trade for Kaep.

That may make sense for both sides. Would be the second high profile player for high profile player trade this offseason, which would be insane.

That's what immediately came to my mind.

Chip Kelly gets his dual threat quarterback without having to trade his draft away for Marcus Mariota, and San Fran gets a quarterback without an awful contract that may fit the new offense better.

I have a tiny bit of information and I AGAIN say the Kap report isn't true. Love you. Hang in 49ers fans..

that's a 49ers beat writer, think she's semi professional (superbowl nation).

The thing is, unusually for a QB on his second contract, he can be traded, there is a 12m total bonus on his contract and some of that has been paid out already. If it was straight player for player with Cutler though (pure twitter realm speculation) that would be just the dumbest thing ever.

Alex Smith went for two seconds, Kaepernicks contract will average around 13m (if he doesn't make all pro or win SB) and he's locked up for what 6 more years with it basically being a team option every year, no guarantees. He has averaged around 12th in QB rating through his career, higher in QBR, he had a 90 yard rushing TD last season and has never missed a game through injury.

He should easily command more than a trade up to 2nd would.

However, the 49ers front office apparently tried to trade Harbaugh for two third round picks after he was coming off three straight NFCCGs, so anything is possible.

Ok, scratch that, SO Cali Steph just named Paarag Marathe (49ers team president, Trent Baalke's boss, Jed York's bitch) as the leaker - presumably of this rumor.

Damn.

If a mallet trade is all he has to hang his hat on then that's not helping much
