Nobody wants to watch a documentary about layups and bank shots.

Winners do and yes I believe the fans of that certain organization are winners.

You haven't watched the Spurs since 2004, have you?

Seriously what is interesting about the Spurs? I guess they are the most international team in basketball, so that's something. But that's not really a compelling story.

Iron Bowl rivalry done right, not like the Roll Tide, War Eagle bs.
Andre the Giant especially his legendary drinking

Um, the last postseason run they had was one of the most redemptive Finals rematches/triumphs in over two decades
Winning the way they have for so long is unprecedented in this day and age. Second (soon to be first) most winning big3 in league history.
As for highlights, they run one of the most high-scoring, efficient attacks in the league, rife with ridiculous ball movement. And they've transitioned to such an offense with the same core that was a part of the defensive juggernauts.
There's plenty compelling about the Spurs. Would be a good 30 for 30 after Pop or the Big 3 retire.

Agile Bonfire and Spurs portrayals are both good ideas.
Also how about something on great characters of football, baseball, basketball. Joe Namath, Ossie Guillen, Wilt Chamerlain, etc.

Nah. Still not very interesting. And we're talking about one season and one series. What the frick ever, that's not a story.

Meh.

Nothing about that = good documentary.

Gonna go ahead and disagree with you there. I seriously think the international angle is the most interesting thing about the Spurs, and that isn't super interesting.

Not trying to change your mind. IDGAF if you find the Spurs interesting: plenty of folks do and would watch a 30 for 30 about the era they're in.
Every 30 for 30 isn't going to be fascinating for every sports fan

There are so many better stories out there. And you clearly do give a frick because you keep responding to me.
The Spurs are a great franchise. That doesn't mean they would make a good documentary. That documentary would be boring as hell.

And there are plenty of Spurs/NBA fans. I don't know what you're driving at, tbh--every 30 for 30 out now isn't instantly compelling to every niche of sports fan. And that's what they are, for the most part: niche documentaries.

Meh, this is subjective.

IDGAF if you find SA interesting or not. You asked what made them interesting, and I told you my opinion. Not sure where your hostility is coming from, tbh

I disagree. And I'm fine if you do so as well

They are all good stories though. You know, with an orientation, some conflict, and a resolution that brings the viewer some kind of satisfaction.
30 for 30 isn't the Spurs fan jerk off time.

Plenty of basketball fans would find a Spurs documentary compelling.

Don't watch it, then? That's all this really comes down to. We all watch the 30 for 30s that interest us and ignore the ones that don't.
And keep in mind this is a hypothetical we're bandying about

No, what it comes down to is why the hell would anyone make such a boring film in the first place. I don't see ESPN putting money into a non-story like that.
Poppa showed up. They won a bunch. The end.

It's pretty obvious you hate the Spurs and find them boring. Others don't and find them fascinating.
Folks like you would eschew it, folks like me would watch it. The end.
You're feisty about this, I must say
