Zverev beat Fed in three tiebreaks at Hopman Cup. I think that bodes well for Fed, actually. Not sure if that is a real event that counts for records. It's having tennis on at night now. Dimitrov just beat Mahut in Brisbane and Thiem and Groth are playing now.

Wiki says it's an ITF event, but it doesn't count toward the rankings. I can't imagine flying across the world to play an exhibition instead of playing Brisbane and getting the ranking points.

I guess Sock and Kyrgios guy are BFFs now.

Stan and Kei coming up now on Tennis Channel. Raonic beat Nadal last night and plays Dimitrov after this first match.

Nole and Murray are in the Qatar final tomorrow.

Grigor took Brisbane over Nishikori. Let's see if he can reach the top 10 again soon.

I was watching Hopman Cup doubles today. While Mladenovic doesn't seem that hot when you search pics, she was fire out there.

Haha same for me with Pliskova and some other girl I can't remember. I see them on court, then hop over to the Google and the pics are a huge letdown.

Aussie qualies start today. I counted 15 American men, but I'm old and on mobile, so that may be off.

SMS' favorite player, Isner, is struggling with some Swiss slapdick in Davis Cup. Any of you baws going? John looking good in the classic Fila gear. They must have banned him from wearing the Bass Pro Shops sticker.

Forgot about DC. They have a decent squad, even without the Bryans.

Sock replay on now. Nice little setup they have in B-Ham.

He just said the AO courts were the fastest courts he ever played on.

Got a couple decent finals in 250 events before the first 500 starts in Rotterdam on Monday.

Montpellier - Gasquet vs. A Zverev
Sofia - Dimitrov vs. Goffin
Quito - Burgos vs. Lorenzo

Zverev is already starting to show he's ready to start winning titles. Dimitrov will be tough to beat in his home country with this current form. Burgos hasn't done much of anything in his career but he's going for his 3rd straight Quito title and he's undefeated there.

In Rotterdam Thiem somehow got matched up with Zverev in the first round.

I'll be at Indian Wells the first weekend, March 10th and 11th. Got a grounds pass for the 10th if anyone wants to meet up.

Nice. I went two years ago and it is just on another level from tournaments like Toronto and Cincy.

I feel dirty watching these crappy 250s.

I only have the Vegas challenger to compare it with, but yeah IW is quite the experience and pretty affordable. It's just so damn spacious and I can't get over the access you have to the players and the practices and what not.

Sascha and Grigor win 250s. Apparently, they played a nazi era German anthem at Fed cup here.

Harrison favored over Querrey is sort of interesting.

Not the most graceful exit for Toni

quote:

"The relationship with my nephew has always been good, over all these years we never had any to argue about. But until he was 17 I decided everything, then the agent Carlos Costa came, his father got closer and everybody had his own opinion.

"And the truth is that every year I decide even less, until the point that I won´t decide anything anymore!
