Compared to the other guys, he has the lowest vertical. He's just 7ft. He's a really atheltic 7footer, but doesnt come anywhere close to the other 3. I think all of the other guys have 40inch+ vert with Lavine having a 46inch very. I mean I had a 36inch very in high school

My only worry is what will Plumlee pull off other being tall and being able to jump really really high.
I've seen videos of the other guys pulling off crazy dunks, but I can't find any of Plumlee.

These guys are all freak athletes and whatnot but it's still a shitty group for the dunk contest. I would rather have better players do worse dunks and I don't care if that makes me an idiot.

Plumlee won't be able to do the acrobatic stuff that the other guys can do. That's the issue IMO.

Yeah I don't mind Lebron not doing it now, but it seemed to set a bad precedent. Guys like Kobe and Jordan did the dunk contest.
I think the level of stardom is actually getting better than it was for a while.

I've always hated having big guys in the dunk contest. Plumlee can definitely bounce and he throws down some sweet stuff in games, but he seems like more of an in-game dunker than a contest guy. Same with guys like Dwight, Birdman, DeAndre Jordan, ect.

Their dunks just don't look as impressive. Look at Lavine for example. He doesn't even have to put in any effort and he looks like he's flying (which he is). I'm hoping for a Gerald Green like performance from Lavine. That dunk where Green blew out the candle on the cupcake that was on the back of the rim will always be the best dunk contest dunk of all time for me.

I do not like how they have basically turned this into a showcase for 1st or 2nd year players.
But I also understand nobody wants to compete in it anymore.
I loved it when Richardson would come back to defend.
Also I still think Nique was robbed in Dallas, but what can you do about it?
