Curry has the benefit of being on a great team with a rowdy fanbase. He is a top player, but he couldn't carry a team to the finals like James can.
wow

You say this the year after he literally just carried his team to the championship.

Wardell Stephen Curry II is the best player on the planet as we speak. And if he does better than 2 for 5 in the Finals he will have a chance to be best of the Era.

Draymond, klay, igoudola, Barnes and bogut were not carried to the finals. Warriors had an all star who couldn't see the court.

Dellavedova, Jr smith, Oman, tristain Thompson, and mosgov were very much carried.

The Warriors easily had the team in the league last year. James on the other hand carried a shell of the Cavs to the finals.

if he keeps this up over his prime, we're talking play higher than jordan's peak for an extended period of time

Call me a crazy guy, but it might be nice for Steph to crack at least the NBA All-Defensive Thirteenth Team once or twice before we vault him past LeBron.

Both are impacted by overall team defensive rating...Curry has simply played on a much better defensive team over the past few seasons.

That Warriors team without Curry might make a bottom seed of the playoffs, but nothing more.

And don't pretend that Love and Kyrie weren't there at all for the regular season and the first round, it was Love, Kyrie, Dellavedova, JR, Oman, Tristan, Mozgov. Kyrie was however on and off hurt during regular season. Love didn't go out until the second round and Kyrie went out for good in the finals.

A healthy team of Kyrie, Love, and the rest without LeBron would be on par with that Warriors team without Curry.

Yeah, because that Golden State team isn't loaded with talent.

Would love to see Curry consistently make runs with that Cavs team LeBron played with his first 7 years.

not possible. lebron had a higher peak and prime and will have been dominant for much longer. he has been a top 5 player for 11 out of his 13 seasons and the best in arguably 7-8 of them.

curry might win an MVP or two but it's much more likely he morphs back to a SG shooter scorer in the next two three years. he is however scorchingly hot right now and this is the best stretch of offensive basketball ever played.

curry will go down as the best shooter in history and a top 20 player all time. he will not have lebron s longevity.
