Pump up Bamas resume.

Alabama doesn't need UT in the top 10 to prove anything to any committee member. Resumes are judged at the end of the year anyway not at the time of the game. Playing a top 10 UT means nothing if they nose dive and fall out of the top 25 by December

I think OSU and Clemson match up very well with Bama.

I'd be more worried about Louisville

It kinda is though

Based on what?

Lamar Jackson would give Alabama fits.. Chad Kelly had a field day again

Game last year between Clemson and Alabama came down to a few plays that Alabama made. Taking nothing away from them but to say they're far and away better 6 games in is dumb

Ohio st, Clemson, Louisville would all be tough games for them. Ole miss already gave them a tough game

The No. 9-ranked Vols (5-1, 2-1 SEC) knew by the middle of last week that linebackers Jalen Reeves-Maybin (shoulder) and Darrin Kirkland Jr. (ankle), along with cornerback Cam Sutton (ankle), still would be out.

But then later in the week, a Vol Network report leaked word that bulldozing runner Jalen Hurd would not be making the trip, though Jones insisted it would be a game-time decision.

The Aggies (6-0, 4-0) might not have been the better team, but they won the game, and they were certainly the more physical of the teams.

The five Vols starters who did not return to the game:

• DT Danny O’Brien, who flew back with the team after being taken to a hospital for observation with an apparent head injury.

• Center Dylan Wiesman was knocked out of the game with 8 minutes, 45 seconds left in the first quarter after a hit that knocked his helmet off.

• OG Jashon Robertson left with 6:04 left in the fourth quarter with an unspecified injury.

• LB Cortez McDowell was being evaluated in the shoulder/neck area with 3:15 left in the third quarter.

• DT Kendal Vickers suffered an undisclosed injury with 12:50 left.

Clemson's getting better. Keep in mind that they started slow last year as well. They have the WR's to challenge Bama's secondary, and a defense that can give Hurts fits.

I see Tennessee coming out flat and ultimately getting steamrolled due to all the injuries.

I do look forward to seeing Alabama's offense go up against a defense with a pulse though (and I'm not sure Tennessee qualifies there). They've rolled over everybody so far but..

USC
Western Kentucky
Ole Miss
Kent State
Kentucky
Arkansas

Aren't exactly a whose who of solid defensive teams. Alabama may not see a very good defense until LSU and then shockingly Auburn..

I don't get the AP's reasoning to keep them in the Top 10 but to hype this game and pump up Bama's resume.

Good lord

ETA: Didn't missed the part about hyping the game. Anything to get 2 numbers next to the names of the teams. In this case, top 10 numbers.

You really comparing 19 point victories in the regular season as a reason Alabama might not be the best team?

Well I'm saying it's unknown as of today, because when comparing wins, their's aren't necessarily better than other teams.

I said Bama may well be the best team, and are obviously really good

They are Not that much better than Clemson, Louisville, Ohio st. Or Michigan. In fact I think Michgan would beat Bama straight up right now.

Bama is really putting it together, and catching their stride. UT has a chance, but Bama would have to seriously drop the ball to lose IMO.

Of all those teams, I think Michigan would have the toughest time beating Alabama. The Tide isn't a good matchup for them, imo.
