The amazing saga of Tiger will continue. Just a study of nerves and choking. He has lost it with the putter in majors, his driver is what it has always been, and his irons have become average instead of deadly. IN MAJORS. Just great drama. He is still "Tiger enough" to be near the top of everything. But he can't putt when he gets a sniff of the lead.
If HE CAN EVER get them to start falling again though? Look out. But that is the biggest "if" I can recall in sports in my lifetime. Which makes it so great.
Maybe that is why Jack was crying during his award speech this week? In his mind he says "Oh shite! I am going to die with my record intact!!"

Here are TW's stats thru 3 rounds @ Firestone:
4th in driving distance
T9th in driving accuracy
T2nd in GIR
T1st in sand saves
2nd in putts per GIR
2nd in strokes gained putting
Kind of explains why he has a 7 stroke lead. I wonder how many he will carry over to Oak Hill next week?

I agree. Don't forget, he's already built up his excuse by complaining about the greens at Oak Hill during his press conference earlier this week. My guess is he'll hit it ok, but not make a thing at the PGA en route to T15.

I have an excuse...there is a 14 hour time difference where I am
ETA: regardless, being noticeably absent for one week is better than being noticeably wrong for 5 years.
