Can someone do this remotely, asking for a friend.

Yes, it can be done remotely as all of our phone systems are voice over IP and all of our systems are cloud based.

It would just be hard to train remotely which takes about 2 weeks to train.

Ok for those interested.

Sales office is located in Dallas, Tx but can be done remotely once 2-3 weeks training is completed.

It's for an actual inside sales position, not a counter position. Answering customer calls and winning them over to schedule service.

Guys, the inside sales position we have is literally someone to sit in an office and answer phones and converts the calls to sales. Which if someone has called us, they want our service. They don't even have to sell, just answer the phone, follow a script, and take the customer's info..The only "selling" is upselling at the end of the call for additional services.

My wife does it now but our volume is too much that we can't keep up. The only requirements we have for the inside sales position are a. You know how to answer a phone, b. you have a cheery, professional voice, and c. you know how to use a computer and the latest online services such as google mail. I guess it's more of a mini-callcenter position.

If someone would just show up to the position and has those 3 qualities they can literally just sit down and answer the phones at our sales office they could easily make a minimum of $50k/year.

Why are you hiring traditionally for that position?

If ever there was a position that screamed for a telecommuter to fill it, that is it.

There are about 80 bazillion stay-at-home mom's who would love to clock in for several hours a day and take those calls.

Think outside the box, friend.

ETA: Just read this page of the thread.. good work!

ETA2: Have you considered something like gotomeeting to do your training?

Two different postitions. Helper guy was offered $13/hr. Inside sales is probably hourly+commission.

this could be one reason.

this looks like an email address for a scam job, IMO. If I saw that somewhere randomly, I'd likely think it was an interview for some primerica shite or something, and blow it off.

Just trying to give you an honest opinion. Use a email address with a name or a company name, and you'll probably get more people taking it serious.

Just my .02 as someone currently in the entry level job market.

TD email address. I do not give my personal or business info on the td.com site.

I literally just signed up for that gmail address when someone asked me for it earlier in thread.

Yeah sorry. The paragraph structure in one of my posts was off a bit. I was describing two different hiring situations.

Helper for the field is 13/hr.

My inside sales rep is base salary plus commission. Based on our call volume we calculated that someone could make between 40 and 60k a year just answering calls and really doing no upselling.

a lot of people just really have no desire to be in sales at any level. takes a special kind of person to do sales. even more special kind of person to do outside sales.

My fiancee recently started in outsides sales. I'm very jealous of her flexible schedule. She is way more outgoing than I am though (at least while sober ) , so the work suits her.

I interviewed a guy this weekend for a helper position.

How does a guy get on welfare? I thought what we call welfare is limited to payments for children.

It was unemployment which is a form of welfare.

I have some people I would love to email you as candidates for the job. It just sounds too good of an opportunity if it is as you described.

Yeah, it's not a joke. We are a small growing company that is having difficulty finding inside sales people.

I know it sounds too good to be true but I literally just need someone to answer phones and schedule jobs.

I don't want to post the job here because I don't want to get banned but if they email me at that email address I posted earlier, I'll send the link to the job posting.
