Which one do you use and why?

Venmo. Everyone I know uses it / ease of use.

Is venmo good for a small business? Most of my transactions are over $1000 do they have restrictions? Paypal has started to add security questions like SSN to transactions over $1000 I'm curious if anyone out there does not?

I use venmo or PayPal, depending on who and what in paying for. Venmo is a touch easier to use.

Conducting business via Venmo is not allowed. They will freeze funds.
Eta: apparently you now can, didn't know that.

For personal activity, Venmo every single time

So what do you use it for? Transferring money between people? Instead of writing a check to a friend or family member or cash? Seems limited, I'd need it like twice a year.

I don't know anyone that uses Paypal over Venmo... in fact, I couldn't even tell you if Paypal has an app that allows you to immediately transfer funds to and from persons without a fee.
I hate the word literally, but literally everyone I know uses Venmo.

A lot more useful for the under 30 crowd, or maybe those who send money to their kids who are away at school.
It's so much more convenient and easier than cash or check when splitting bills/splitting checks/splitting groceries/etc. between roommates and friends.
Also nice when I'm buying/selling random stuff on craiglist etc. Don't have to exchange cash. Just a couple of taps on their end and a single tap on my end and it's in my bank account.
ETA: Also get a few thousand more AMEX points per year without spending any more money by putting group expenses on my AMEX and having people just venmo me their share of whatever was purchased.

How much does Venmo cost? It kinda blows me away how high paypal fees are now. I think a lot of it has to deal with so many people using rewards cards now and they are more expensive to process. I feel like in 5 years we're going to have 4% rewards programs as the norm and 5% CC fees.

Free.
I assume they sell your information (what information I have no clue) but there is no fee on transactions.

I use Square Cash. Very easy to use and completely free.

I use chase quickpay, then venmo, then PayPal.

Pretty Much everyone I know uses Venmo (people in their 20's). It's interface is just so simple. It's great for bills, splitting tabs, small bets between friends.

They do, it's called Venmo Venmos parent company is PayPal. PayPal as an app has the capability to send money without a fee but it's more complicated than Venmo.

Only reason I use PayPal is for eBay, other than that, Venmo all the way.

Venmo is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
