Can't seem to find the long thread on UA, but wanted to see what everyone is doing with it. Down to $16 currently.

Looks like they are about to restructure and have identified that they need to find what market they are targeting.

Seems like a good place to throw some cash

I think there is better places to put your money to work than UA. Are you set on retailers?

No, was just a question.... saw what it was at after being in the high 40s earlier this year. Can't see it going too much lower.

I've traded it a few times over the past year or so. Made some money. Lost some money. Pretty much a wash. One issue with Under Armour is that with the P/E still being rather high (38 vs 24 for Nike), the sun and the moon have to perfectly align for it to tick back up. And maybe it will. But I'd be cautious about bottom fishing. Just because it might not go much lower doesn't mean that it's going to go back up. I mean, look at Twitter.

I thought the young up and coming generation is all about under armour. Are they struggling with sales?

I bought at $40 and have hated that shite stock since then. Thankfully it was only about $2,000 worth but whenever I got in to my brokerage and see it down 40, 50, 60% I

I don't think it's the Amazon effect. If I had to guess I'd say it's the amount of competition they face in that space. I own "under armour" type shirts from at least 5-6 different relatively new online retailers like Rhone, plus Columbia and others make some good stuff. Seems like you can get better quality stuff for a similar price and I guess with advances in manufacturing smaller companies have an easier time getting into the market.

over in the crypto thread this is called a shitecoin...

I remember buying some UA when it was around $19 after reading that it was a good buy at that price. It traded sideways for 3-4 months, I got bored and got out...for around 10 cents/share more than they cost me. I'm usually a bag holder so I can't imagine buying at $40

Everyone is struggling, the problem is that UA went after everything all at once... They went from sporting to casual and everything in between. Then at first, they were exclusive and protective of the brand... Now you can buy UA at Kohls.

They are lost and have stated that they need to figure out what they stand for.

First off they are paying wayyy too much to athletes to promote their brand. Overpaid for people like phelps. I think they have overpaid for some colleges too.

People have to many options and UA stuff typically is shite.

Logo is dumb looking too.

How could it be the amazon effect? Under armor is the manufacturer, amazon is the retailer. UA's products are available on amazon, so why would amazon have a negative effect?
