Suggestions for a salary research website? I have used salary.com in the past, but haven't looked into any other jobs in quite some time. I am looking to apply at another company, and it is a step up from where I am now. I know they will ask about the salary I want, and I have an idea about where that would be, but I am just looking for some conformation that my thoughts are correct.

TIA

Glassdoor and LinkedIn Salary are about as good as is available.

Eventually someone will crack the code on this and it will be a jackpot business.

Haven't used the LinkedIn feature. Does that require premium?
Had the trial a couple of months ago but didn't check it out

I have my salary data so I think it lets me use it for free. I don't have Premium.

I don't have enough sample size for my job to get a good read. Pay varies a lot by industry and geography so it is way too wide of a band to be helpful.

Just looked up LinkedIn's, I can see how that's more of a guideline.

Glassdoor is pretty on point considering it's company specific.

Glassdoor is self reported and does a poor job of differentiating specifics. I almost didn't apply to my current job based on what it said, had a low hourly wage for my title at my company when I got offered a decent salaried rate.

Some douche could put in a fake number and totally screw it up though too.

how else are you going to get the data? Just have to rely on prople reporting. For bigger companies you can weed it out

My best option is just asking my coworkers.

I don't know honestly. Occasionally I come across something absurd, like 200 k for a cashier at store x, they should be able to filter out entries that make no sense.
