It's been a while since we've reordered checks (hardly use them anymore). Should I just reorder through my bank or is there a better/cheaper place?

FWIW: Duplicates for the win!

If you have the reorder form from your last checkbook just run it by the drive in window of your local bank. It will come in the mail.

I hardly go by my bank for anything. I would like to do this online and before I have to pay taxes on any online purchases.

If you don't think you'll ever need to have checks to pay expediently again ie few days short term notice. You can always just have the bank send the check using your online account. I'm trying to completely remove the need for checks but it is hard sometimes.

I do online bill pay now, but sometimes there is a need to write a check and I have to go dig up my checkbook and blow the dust off of it. I'm down to my last set of checks now and just want to find a cheap place to order them.

Just ordered a bunch of business checks from Checks Unlimited online. Cost per check was about 1/5 of reordering from the bank but I had to order about 1200 checks to get that price. I'll have checks for a long time

If possible, I'd wait in the branch while someone ordered your checks instead of dropping the slip off. You'd be surprised how easy it is to lose a reorder slip in the shuffle on a busy day. Of course typically the branch will pay for expedited shipping if that happens.

How much tax do you pay on a purchase of a box of checks? A dollar?
