Is he looking at that high of mileage? Didn't seem like it based off things the OP has actually said. And before you say 120k is basically the same as 96, it's not. It's nothing more than another inflated number that you're trying to make a point with.

Big vehicles like that are going to have a lot of maintenance at that mileage.
He's not lookint at one with 200k miles on it. From a powertrain standpoint, Tahoes/Suburbans are actually very trouble free well past the mileage OP is looking at (even at the 120k number you made up, they still have a lot of life left). You don't seem like you really know what you're talking about
There were a lot of numbers thrown around, my bad if my numbers weren't perfect but what I said is way more right than wrong. If you want a good Tahoe to last for a long time with leather interior you are going to really need to spend more than $20k.
Yeah drive trains last over $200k miles, but there are a lot more to vehicles than drivetrains. Bearings, AC system, Electronics, etc. all start really needing work between 120-150k miles. That's just been from my experience on heavier vehicles. Things like cars that are driven with only 1-2 people usually don't have as many issues until 200k.

Not in the OP, and a guru like you should be able to keep up regardless. Just admit you fudged the numbers to try to make a point.

It was actually completely wrong, but OK.

More bullshite from you. You've clearly shown you don't know shite, so why don't you just stop trying?

More bullshite. Are you a woman, just clueless about vehicle, or both?

Then you are terrible at operating and maintaining a vehicle and no one should listen to you.

There is literally no difference. If they built fullsize SUVs out of car parts, you might have a point. But since they don't...

Too much.
It is 2 years older, with more miles.

I'm not a big fan. GM owns the fullsize SUV market, for good reason. Stay with GM here.

I don't think I've seen an Expedition's door handles just fall off. Just yesterday I saw a Suburban LTZ with the exterior handle pull completely broken off the passenger door. Funny thing was, there was a lady in the passenger seat. Guess her husband opened it from the inside for her.
Between that and the issues my MIL is having with her certified 2013 Denali XL and some other personal anecdotes, I don't know how GM sold so many of those GMT900s.

Agreed.
Ford's engines weren't as smooth, nor were they as economical to operate.
I mentioned the trim issues earlier, but despite that I think GM outsold Ford like 5:1.
And yet, the Explorer is light-years ahead of any GM mid-size SUV so IDK.
