best of luck. Rumor is my company is shedding about 10-15k jobs in the next few weeks. We are about 135k employees.

My job is safe, but having gone through this about 20 times in my career, it can be nerve wracking. I sorta hope I get laid off to tell you the truth.

ha ha. I would get a 17 week severance package, and I think I coudl find a comparable job in about a month.

update- found out my job is safe. thanks for all the prayers and support. its been a stressful day

all i know is my job is good, dont need to move and im not getting a new territory

new org chart is coming out soon so i might have a new boss, but im good for now.

You would get 4 months pay? Find a damned job if you get laid off.

Most people get a pink slip and are lucky if their health benefits last until the end of the month.

What age range are you in? If you are in the 35-40 demo, you are probably in pretty good shape to land a job relatively quick. If you are 45 or above it becomes more problematic statistically.

If you can land back in telecomm good for you, but I would still place my resume out there from time to time in other industries wherein demand is somewhat inelastic and not as sensitive to market swings, etc.
