No public employee should have a retirement option at 20 years. Should be exactly the same as private sector employment.

Well, most people do not do law enforcement work at 65. Was considered a trade-off back then to make up for low pay.

Dallastiger. Yes I work there but my buddies are affected. Two of them are ad's and one is a lvl 1 manager. They will find their fate on Monday. Avps directors and ams were on calls wed and thru they had to take an lso class about how to deliver the news on Monday.

Sorry to hear. We have Uverse and I'm about to drop it. We are in our third outage in 6 months, all of which have lasted more than a day, no info given. No refunds offered. They all have started in a Sunday.

If this is how to treat customers I guess they don't need many sales people.

Here is Mississippi it seems that ATT only hires independent contractors - no benefits.

Can you stay on as an IC?

First thing in the morning, find your supervisor and announce you are pregnant.

You're welcome.

They are also giving the laid off people till July 1 to close their shite out which I think is comical but I'm not complaining. So the way I look at it is I'm getting possibly 22 weeks of severance.

Tough times man and best of luck to you. Just realize it could be worse. That's an incredible severance package.

this isn't a shot at you but this is why i always keep my resume updated and always have my eyes open and ears to the ground
always keep your monster and linkedin account updated and network when you can

doing these things can only help you in the long run and can also motivate you to make your resume grow and accomplish more in your position so that you can become more valuable

too many become fat and happy in the job they love and then boom.... SOL
