That's a funny .gif and I hate to spoil the fun but the writing on there is Chinese, not Japanese. And the CCTV13 logo is the Chinese news channel comparable to CNN in the US, except CCTV13 is government run....so, no real difference after all, I guess.

No, wiki hates bankers. He's made that pretty clear on here.

Phew...my mind was about to be blown. Some people's posts are sorta white noise to me. I should listen more. My girlfriend says something like to me as well (I think).

Does anyone think Karpeles has his grubby little fingers in this "theft" somehow?

Would be funnier if one of our farkers could make her computer screen show Mt Gox's index taking a nosedive.

Absolutely. And he had the means to create so many off-blockchain wallets within MtGox that he could use to transfer btc among to cover his trail, that no one will ever be able to trace the transactions back to him.

(Did anybody notice how I used the term "off blockchain" there? )

So if the courts do grant the protection to mtgox, would that then declare that bitcoins are at least somewhat legitimate.

Also, wouldn't that be the worse thing to happen to bitcoin as well because it would introduce the need of personal information to protect or get your bitcoins back, and it would no longer be anonymous.

From the link it appears the bankruptcy filing was in Japan. I don't know what their process is.

Wiki has repeatedly told us btc is not anonymous. It's psuedomonbongolus.

Now I understand

I've followed most of these bitcoins threads and it is definitely extremely interesting and confusing. And I agree that we need wiki back to muddle it up some more for us

Doesnt look like they are filing from protection of holders of bitcoin anyway, so I'm not sure that allowing them protection is legitimizing it in any way.
