Thanks man. We're on a similar schedule just a day behind. We finalized our brief tonight and will run our first sim tomorrow night then each successive night. Saw a post on the forum that a group was all done with the Red Round and got a little paranoid.

We ran 2 simulations tonight. They're pretty instantaneous. We'll probably run our 3rd one tomorrow. Some results make sense and some are head scratching to say the least. Trying to get the EBIT increased!

Does it just provide the same info you had previously(charts, graphs and profit statements) but with an additional year? Or do they give you additional messages?

Yeah it'll give you all that information. But you'll have to look at the charts from the different years to make connections and assessments of what's working and what isn't.

I see in MKT 701 where she adjusted the module 2 quiz. That really helped out, hope she continues this for the rest of the module quizzes!

On her quiz recap she says she altered 2 questions. 1 she accepted all answers, the other she accepted 2 answers. Congrats on getting the adjustment!

Average grade on quiz 2 was 77.7%

I've recently been accepted and am set to begin on July 3rd. The following classes were recommended as good classes to take as they do not require prerequisites. Any recommendations? I graduated 4 1/2 years ago and have not been in school since.

MKT 701, MADM 720, MADM 751, MADM 701, MADM 760, and BADM 790

Also, would you recommend taking one class for the first 7 week module? Or would you recommend taking two?

Thanks in advance.

Brent, Brees, or anybody else in MKT 701, what's the grading format for the simulation? Isn't it like 15 points for the paper and 15 points for the simulation? Just trying to figure out where the 50 points are allocated for each simulation.

I don't really know the breakdown. The Syllabus says the whole Simulation project is worth 300 and 100 of that is peer evaluation. We also had the quiz for Red Round and have a quiz scheduled for Blue 1 so maybe we have a quiz every round too.

I haven't taken most of these courses. I believe MADM 720 is no longer required. I don't believe any course has a prerequisite, unless you need BADM 700 or BADM 701 and they would likely tell you. MKT is tough I hear, take it alone. I'm taking it last. I'm in MADM 701 and it's time consuming. Take it alone. MADM 760 wasn't bad with Meeks. He does require some writing, but he structures it with questions so it's quite easy. I didn't like the group project, but it was easy looking back on it. He also doesn't value excess jargon. He likes you to use the concepts in your own words and share work experience. I would suggest taking Vines for a Finance. You have to study, but zero busy work. 4 exams and they are 10 questions each. He is like Meeks in terms of the terminology. If you can explain something in 1 sentence, he will give you full credit. He also does zoom sessions to help everyone! Acct 701 with McGee was easy. The homework brought my exam grade (B) to an overall A in the course. Hopefully, this helps some.

I wouldn't take two courses unless you take Acct with something. I did two finance classes because some concepts can overlap. Others can help with some classes they've doubled up on, but I've only done it once. (My employer pays per semester so doubling doesn't help me. I don't get paid for that extra course.)

If I told helps I believe the worst you can do is an 80% for the simulations. I read if you're 1 std deviation below class avg you get an 80, avg gets 90, and 1 std deviation above class abt gets 100. 1st Round we didn't move much, 2nd round we exponentially increased but ebit sucked, 3rd our ebit is better than year 40.

I'm not sure about that
Remember, data isn't the same as information. I still don't get this damn game as of now.

MADM 701

I received a 0 on Module 2 assignment. I was never given the assignment! It never showed up in Wiley Plus. I assumed there would not be one since she said Wiley Plus screwed up the first week. I assumed that was there screw up. I'm beyond pissed.

Looks like it may have happened to others as well since the average is 22.

Seriously, we did not do well. We still have 1 year left but have decreased every year so far. Looking like an 80 for us too.

At this point in this class... I'll gladly take the 80 and move on.

We have progressively gotten worse too in the simulation with our EBIT and market share price. I'm pretty sure we're not gonna win the "competition." I'll gladly except the 80.

You might want to reach out to her. See if you can view all assignments in Wiley and show that module 2 assignment didn't pop up. (That's the only way I can think of to prove your case.) It popped up for me last Wednesday. The 22 is a 22/30. Good luck with getting it cleared up!
