It can be done in a year as well, but you have to take 4 semester long classes in the fall and spring to do so. From doing some of both in graduate classes in the past, I much prefer the 7 week classes. Spreading it out just seems to allow them to post more busy working, IMO.
The MHA program seems to be top notch though. I know Willis Knighton has invested a lot into it and it seems to be run very well.

Langston, thanks for chipping in on the conversation. And I always appreciate your insights. Paul.
So I got my acceptable email today. Hurray. Now, I need to decide on which class or classes to start with. I was thinking of taking one class the first 7 week session to get back into the groove of studying.
I run my commercial real estate brokerage full time but have head home at 5pm each day. Have evening meetings twice a week for an hour and a half or so. Rest of my time is flexible. Of course need to keep my wife happy and my two daughters, who just started 6th and 7th grades.
So I'd appreciate your input in helping me choose classes to start with. Currently I'm aiming for the General MBA. May consider a specialization later on.

I'm thinking of taking MKT 701 to start out. Back in 1999 I got a third of the way through my MBA with marketing emphasis so I have some confidence in that subject.
Would appreciate input from others.

I made a B with Dr. Karen James. Not too difficult, but be ready for a lot of writing and using APA in text citations.

It's either MKT 701 with Karen James or Org Strat & Policies MADM 760 with Michael Meeks.
Did anyone take Meeks and have an opinion?

SoCal, I'm taking Meeks for 760 beginning on 8/29. I'm finishing up my 1st class right now, FIN 730 w/ Dr. Vines.

I took all my classes in summer and fall of 14 and spring of 15 and I don't recognize any of those professors. I know I had Fortenberry for MKT and I don't remember who I had for the other class.
I wouldn't get too caught up in that, though. It will take some time in the beginning to get in the routine, but you can do it. I started back to school the month my twins were born and we already had a 3 year old at the time. I worked full time, ran a small business, and had a few rental properties. Still coached my daughters ball team through school and doing it again now while taking 4 classes this fall.
My routine consisted of helping the wife get the kids ready for bed (a little early usually) then hitting the books. I may go from 8 to midnight or later some nights. Then usually one day on the weekend I would hit it hard as well. I went a lot of days on 4-5 hrs sleep, but it's very doable for a short time. A year really isn't that long. Either way you go, you will find your groove and what works for you.

Congrats everyone on another class finished! Trying to decide between MADM 720 or ECON 705 for fall AP2. I'd rather take the "lesser" load during football season, any advice?
Posted on 8/21/16 at 1:59 pm to lsusports
lsusports, I'll be in both of those. Hopefully I make it through alive! From what I've heard is that Econ isn't THAT terrible and MADM 720 is lots of busy work with inconsistent grading but should make an A or B if all assignments are completed.

Take Econ 705, less work, but it's challenging.
Have you taken ISDS?
Posted on 8/21/16 at 6:31 pm to Paul Allen
I have not taken ISDS yet. I was a non-business major, so I had to take the first two BADM classes and my only other class was FIN 730. Is ECON 705 similar to BADM 701?
Posted on 8/21/16 at 6:48 pm to lsusports
Not really, Econ was challenging to me. Are you taking Shaughnessy?
Posted on 8/21/16 at 8:30 pm to lsusports
He's alright. My least favorite and most difficult course in the program.
