My wife is in the market for a new vehicle and has landed on the Kia Telluride. We went and test drove one and it actually is pretty nice. Anyone own one have any feedback?
Also the salesman said they are selling at sticker and the dealer won’t come down on price because of the high demand. Anyone know if this is true? Hard for me to pay sticker on a vehicle just based on principle alone.
Kia must be upping their game bc I used to think of those vehicles as low budget POS. This telluride was super nice and rode great.
Thanks for any feedback

Search Telluride, there are several good threads already talked about it.

Email me, my friend is GM and he can address the pricing for you, I mean I have only heard since they were released they are selling above sticker, because demand but still, let him work with you.

quote:I've been tracking them as I am interested in one as well. Nearly every Telluride that arrives at the 3 local dealerships are all sold within a couple days. Demand is far outweighing supply right now

Aren't you paying sticker price for your order of a Telsa Cybertruck? Lol.

I’ve had one since mid July. Waited 6ish weeks to get it but spec’d the way I wanted it. Have enjoy it thus far. A few minor complaints about the finish (to be addressed at this coming service) but overall the car has been very nice. Took me a minute to get over the “Kia” badge and some of the initial quality concerns. I think the general consensus is positive on TD and others.
FYI don’t get the AWD. They are having issues with the differential and transmission, there is a dedicated telluride forum out there too.

We test drove four vehicles a couple of weeks ago, in its class. We liked the telluride best. But I'm just having a mental block buying the car 2-3k above sticker.
I'll have to pull the trigger eventually. Also looked at the Palisade and Ascent

I bought one back in May/June. Where I live now there are only 3 car dealerships within a four hour drive of me so the selection of makes are limited.
I really like the Telluride, have had no issues but I’ve only bought gas twice since I bought it. I would say it’s the nicest truck I’ve owned in a few ways.

They just closed the Kia in covington. Maybe they should just start selling the cars for whatever they can get.

Especially a KIA.
However, they seem nice I've only seen a few around town and usually only one on the lot. I started looking at them only from curiosity because of the look and styling.

IMO you have to be absolutely in love with that vehicle to pay sticker (or above).
Nothing in the manufacture’s history indicates this will be a good deal for you going forward. Kia has made their way by offering discounts and great warranties.
I’m not trying to knock Kia as much as I am trying to discourage you from paying more than necessary for a vehicle because of its new model popularity, this is the money board after all. That will fade in the next few years and they will work out some kinks.

I think my wife and I will wait until some used ones start showing up on the market. I'm not $40,000 for a Kia.

Kia's just have too much of a shite history for me to go this route just yet.

FWIW, Consumer Reports has the 2020 Telluride rated as the #1 Mid-sized SUV right now.

Yeah, no kidding. That is thousands of dollars left on the table.

Never underestimate the stupidity of people during a buying frenzy. This advice has led to the creation of a lot of wealth.
I made six figures in less than a week once using this principle.

So you have about 1,000 miles on it in 6 months?
That’s not enough miles to give a sound review IMO.
