What was the cost before savings?

Did you use a double or triple coupon?

Maybe I'm missing something but are you just redeeming points? Or do you have a coupon of points? Where is the coupon that was used?

I see a lot of "SYW Pts Redeemed" all over those receipts. If you are redeeming points you have built up, that's not really a "coupon haul" no?

It's still impressive, but it's not something any of us can go do it appears. I could be very wrong though as I'm not familiar with all of the coupon in's and out's.

Could be if she built those points by buying some of these things. Sears for instance will let you rack up full points as long as you pay 0.01$

What im doing is using a coupon that says buy 20.00 get 20.00 in pts.. get my total to 20, redeem ppints. Earn another 20...
Do another transaction roll those new points to use for next one.. like I said anyone can do it. Ur first transaction will have to spend money out of pocket unless u have points from something else like i did buying something last week.... and u needa hound friends n fam to get more coupons.. I have over 30 and barely used half yesterday

Impressive. My wife does the coupon thing with CVS and Walgreens and gets some really, really good deals from time to time. She does it mainly on consumables that we would use anyways, such as T-P, paper towels, toiletries, cleaning supplies, laundry supplies, etc.

It's not uncommon for her to hit a deal and we end up with 4 or 5 months of something at once.

She also plays these games at Christmas time when buying gifts.

I don't think she's ever done it with KMart, though, I'll tell her to look at it. I will say that the KMarts near us (there aren't many) have to be some of the worst run stores in America. WalMart looks like an oasis of customer service and stocked shelves compared to KMart. More than once, I've remarked "How in the world do they stay in business"?

So you have a coupon that says spend $20 and receive the equivalent of $20 in points? Damn that's awesome.

I think the savings are great....I've always had a question for people who do this...

What do you do with the stuff you buy that you really don't need that much of? Sell it? I see the people on TV and the savings are great, but I don't want 27 jars of mayo in my house, or 20 bottles of MR Clean.

I'm totally jealous of the savings for the needed stuff though!

We generally don't buy anything that we don't use, no matter how cheap it is. If I pay 1 cent for something I don't use, I've wasted 1 cent.

Now, if it is free or better than free (we get money back to spend elsewhere) or we HAVE to buy it to make it work (i.e. we pay for something we don't use, but we get something we do use for better than free), then we just give the stuff away to family or friends, or charity.

For example, something is on sale for 75 cents, but we have a 1 dollar off coupon. Not only am I gettting it for free, but I am also getting 25 cents "credit" to use against another item that I will actually use. This is what I mean by "better than free"
