Anyone have any thoughts on the purchase of Iraqi Dinars as an investment?
Had a couple of sources lately recommend this as a longshot investment with high returns....Maybe?

You're asking about "investing" in the currency of a country currently in the midst of a prolonged civil/religious war with the anti-government rebels controlling almost half the country's area and a sizable part of its revenue sources?

ok so every body here is an x- spurt/comedian.....But what if? A grand us for a million of funny money...With all of the debt forgiven over the years and IF ISIS goes away. People will want to do business for what OIL and we can mine all the depleted uranium from our weapons (joking).
I think it will happen sure I don't dream that it will re evaluate to 100% face value but lets say 25% thats a huge hump.
Hell I could lose a grand in a trip to Vegas, including room and flight....Why not....Anyone serious with an answer....

If ISIS goes away they will just be replaced. As a matter of fact, go read my thread on the movie board about the documentary Terror at the Mall to get an idea of what exists over there. Once ISIS is gone some other group will jump in. You really do need a ruthless dictator to keep these guys in check.

No, no, no.....once ISIS is done in by our drones Iraq will become one of the world's super powers economically and the dinar's value will skyrocket. In fact, the dinar may become the world's #1 reserve currency.
