I have 1 suit, it fits good.... by itself it looks black, hold it to a black suit and you can see it is a very dark navy.... it's dry cleaned and in plastic and ready to go in the closet... I purchased it b/c it was a "universal" type of suit...although I've never been comfortable with what exact shoes I should wear with it...

I should probably get a black suit for a management level inverview on Friday huh ? Where (considering my time constraints)? What color/type of shirt ? What color tie ?

I've never actually worn a suit to an interview, normally just a tie, etc

Help me out MT, I want this.

I think what you got is fine but if you dont think so, go with what feels right. You dont need to worry about how you look in the middle of an interview.

Full Disclosure: I thought this was going to be a "I shite my pants today because of mvis and now I need another suit" thread

You'll do fine in the interview.

If you weren't under time constraints and knew what sizes you wear, I would recommend looking on Amazon, I've bought a couple of suits on there for cheap and they turned out pretty good for me.

As far as what shirt and tie, just don't go with anything that's too flashy. Not necessarily a plain white shirt, but something conservative.

Don't buy a black suit. You are going to an interview, not a funeral.

Brooks Brothers has the Fitzgerald line of the 1818 collection on sale right now for $1500 for two which is a pretty good deal.

OK, so what type/color shoes should be worn with a dark dark navy suit ?

Nothing says conservative businessman like highly polished black wing tips.

wear what you feel comfortable in... but its always better stay on the conservative side imo.

polished black shoes/belt (dont forget to polish them)
white shirt
blue or red tie

Jos A. Banks suits are shite quality wise but they may work for you if you only wear a suit every now and then.

prolly not, gotta send it off.

they have a place in the mall that can do it in an hour.

If you only need one suit, dillards has some good sales at the end of the month. I would check to see if they have any going on right now.

they'll have the same type suits for around the same prices. I just find that dillards has better sales.

I also agree with Jos a banks being low tier quality.

If you buy one of the expensive jos a banks suits then the quality is going to improve incrementally.

I would stay away. Think of a good suit as an investment.

Every now and then you can find some BOSS suits at Dillards on sale but it's rare.

The suit you have now sounds fine. If anything, go buy a new snazzy dress shirt and tie (possibly shoes), not a suit.
