14.5% gain last 12 months. 17.1% since January 1. 6.4% life of account.

Takes a lot of Maga to offset those Obama years.

Might want to look at some numbers Jan 2009 vs Jan 2017. Dow, unemployment, monthly job increase, etc.

Mine did quite well during the Obama years. Trump's presidency seems to be continuing the trend.

Either a) you really don't have a 401(k), or b) you made some very poor investment decisions during the Obama era.

Not my only investment, but with my employer’s matching contribution program, it would be foolish to not participate at least to that level. Let’s get together ten years from now, and compare our net worths, Gordon Gekko.

You fricking nerds are so easy. Rocket commenting on intelligence. Lulz.

Dow Jones was less than 11k when I started this account. It's at 23k now. Yall really think 6% was accurate?

I put 50k in bitcoin about 5 years ago. Haven’t checked it though.

ETA: it’s sad when you feel guilty of lying even on TD. I think I’m up 18-19% in my 457 plan. Can’t remember, I casually checked it a few weeks back. My biggest holding in that plan is an index fund so I should be inline with the S&P.

Hell. I was feeling happy for you, but you had to ruin it by telling the truth.
