I'm thinking of moving my homeowners and auto from allstate. Geico quoted me a better rate for auto, reviews are mixed for home. USAA's homeowners rates are twice what I pay at allstate. Their auto is higher too.

Anyone have any recommendations. I was going to get a quote from farm bureau, farmers, and safeco. How's their claims process?

Federated National is super cheap on homeowners. Nearly half price of most other quotes I got. No complaints with them.

Auto is a crapshoot. State farm was the cheapest for me and the wife after all the discounts. I got in a big wreck a few years ago and State Farm handled everything smoothly. Zero stress for me.

insurance is becoming like rolling dice. I just dropped state farm after I got three quotes that were significantly cheaper than State Farm

Try Travelers. Their rates are for 1 year on autos, not 6 months. They beat all the other major companies on my house and car.

Are you still in Mandeville. Will this company write policies in Mandeville?

Officially a Covington address now but on the Covington/Madisonville board. Not sure if Federated National will/won't write policies in certain areas

Hey brah. call an independent adjuster and have him/her shop rates for you with different companies. Usually get a discount if you have homeowners and auto with same company.

I had zero issues with Safeco on claims. Switched from them to Progressive over a year ago because was getting a 30% lower rate. Just switched back to Safeco because they're offering a lower rate now. Constant bullshite. Got to shop once a year.

yes they write in mandeville. They are super credit heavy with discounts and extremely selective and picky on inspections. Can be great fit sometimes but we've also had many issues with them. They don't budge when they say something on inspections.

Does Geico even do home?

I have everything through Geico, and they outsource home to Travelers.

this was my concern with going through Geico. I read online you don't get to pick who your homeowners is through

No complaints from Federated National so far but like Chad said, not everyone qualifies.

I switched Homeowners to Federated and it dropped about $500 for more coverage.

I switched to MetLife from USAA. I saved about $570. I went from $100/$300 to $250/500, added rental car reimbursement, better deal on glass, and added a personal excess liability policy up to $2million.
