How much would a home worth $325,000.00 run a year for home owner's insurance?

Way too many variables.
How far are you from a fire hydrant and fire station? Is the fire department volunteer or paid? Type of roof? Age of appliances and HVAC unit? Alarm system? Swimming pool, trampoline, and/or dangerous dog present?
And believe it or not, your credit rating can affect your premium as well (I still don't get that one).

I am just looking for a gross estimate.
Home is located in 70706 zip code
less than 5 miles from fire dept.
6-10 year old home
no pool or dogs
security system
credit score above 800

Go on any of the major insurance company websites and answer their questions for a quote.

I got a quote from Liberty Mutual for:
$2,686.00 annual premium
$2,686.00 annual premium

Knock off about a third of that if you also have auto insurance with them.

How big a house?
Mine's 4 yrs old, 2500 sf, no real frills to speak of, brick and hardi-board exterior, 1 story, and it's about $700/yr with USAA.

Four most important factors:
Location
Value
Credit
Age of home
With great credit, one of the smaller, regional companies (Bankers, ASI, Occidental) would probably be around $1500. Good credit would probably $1600-1800. Decent-to-bad credit would probably run you north of $2k.
If you're looking for a larger, national company (State Farm, Safeco, etc), they'll probably be about 10% more than the above quoted prices if you put your auto with them.
Like others have said, there are still a ton of other variables, but those will give you a ballpark.
Free advice: When getting quotes, I wouldn't say 6-10 years old, I'd say 5 or 6 years old. May save you a hundred or two a year.
