So supposedly it could be a merger and then IPO GE's O&G division

GE O&G is high dollar tech and high dollar prices with an M&A growth strategy so there is no corporate culture so to speak. Just a mashup of remnants of the acquisitions. GE has a terrible reputation on the services side of their business.

BHI is low to medium tech and fairly competitive prices with an M&A growth strategy as well. However BHI is gutted on the personnel side in anticipation of the HAL deal that fell through and in reaction to the oil price crash.

This will be an ugly marriage of two companies with no individual corporate culture trying to integrate into each other. Since BHI is already crippled from the HAL deal and layoffs I predict GE management will win out during integration and they will ruin whatever relationships and service quality rep BHI had left to stand on

Your post shows how little you know of BHI.

I worked there for four years and I have worked at their competitors for 19 years. My background is in production and midstream

I have an excellent understanding of how BHI works, their strengths and weaknesses. All of my colleagues that still work there (or used to) talk about how great they used to be.
