Good luck with that. Now that they are openly admitting that FedCoin is a reality, all other forms of digital currency will be banned.

And I imagine that happens before the '24 elections

They're not cutting off that tax revenue. We'll get additional regulation, but they won't outright ban it.

Really? Isnt other fiat currencies banned for transactions by US govt? Wonder why they wouldnt want tax revenue from those dollars too?

This should be a fun thread. Bunch of guys who don’t know dick about crypto saying its dead.

I’ve lost count with how many times crypto has been declared dead

That means its no different than the Confederate dollar after the Civil War ended. Confederate dollars were used for 4 years in US states, until the Union declared them obsolete. They can no longer be used as legal tender

Same thing will happen to crypto. Once FedCoin is up and running, the govt will not allow competitors

Oh no. Guess that means I should roll over and take it from Uncle Sam.

You do realize there is literally an exchange in existence that lets you trade and bet against the US dollar?

This thread made me go check my coinbase pro account because I haven’t looked at it in about 9 months. I started a few years ago with $3200 and it’s now at $900. Guess I’ll leave it and see if it ever makes a comeback.

You’re right. I try to set rules for selling and buying but sometimes you get caught up in the momentum.

FedCoin already failed in Africa (I forget the country). That was the first global "field test". It wasn't adopted. Nobody wanted it.

I worked at Omniture for 5+ years before we went public then were ultimately acquired by Adobe. When we were at Omniture, the biggest fear we had was when Google released their free Google Analytics platform. We all thought that Google was going to give something away for free for what Omniture was charging people for, thus killing the company. The Google's Analytics platform sucked comparatively, and what Google ultimately did is taught companies and the internet masses about internet/website analytics tools. The trajectory of Omniture became a J-Curve.

I foresee a similar result with FedCoin as Google if it even gets that far. Banning Bitcoin is impossible now.

I have some ETH2 staked on Coinbase, but that's about it.

I think that FedCoin is just an internal/centralized Blockchain between banks and the federal reserve. Not something that will be used for consumer transactions.
