Credit card/credit score question

I got a chase unlimited CC for business purchases (it gets 1.5% back), I've used it for about 2 months, it gets paid off every month.
About a week ago I bought plane tickets for a vacation and got an American express delta card (there was some promotional offer).
Now, I think I'd like to use the American express delta card for business purchases to accumulate miles.
when I say business purchases I mean like food and the occasional license, maybe 2-3 hundred a month.
as far as my credit score goes, If I cancel the chase card after having it only a few months, will it decrease my score?
I don't want extra credit cards. Me and the wife have played the CC debt game, we're out now and don't even want the possibility of going back.
I don't actually need credit, I just want some of the rewards. The wife and I already don't buy anything we don't already have the money for.

I would lean toward not closing the account. If the card has no annual fee I would probably just leave it open. Especially if the credit line available on the unused card comprises a significant portion of your total available credit limit. Closing it while continuing to spend the same will raise your credit used to credit available ratio, which will lower your credit score.
If you feel like you can't control yourself with the card then maybe just cut the card up but leave the account open and dormant.

Bad idea. The cheapest Delta card is $95 a year annual fee. You are earning 3600 points a year ($300 X 12). Delta points are "worth"(this is an arbitrary value gained from the points it takes to redeem for flights on average based on the award chart/ticket price) maybe 1.6 cents per point. 3600 X .016 = $57.6 in Delta points a year. $95 - $57.6 = $37.40.
Congrats, you just lost money. Stick with Freedom.
