Hi folks,

I have 180K of Delta Skymiles. Considering a trip this summer to Hawaii for 8-10 days with the wife. I know Delta has partners and you can book flights on those partners, but I have no idea how that works. For the dates I'm looking at the flight is around $1300/each or 70K miles. Alaska Airlines has the flight for $800, but I don't know how those miles between airlines work.

Should I consider using some if not all of the miles I have for a flight, or could I make better use of those miles for that trip or in some other way? Basically just wanting to get the most bang for my miles. Any advice would be appreciated.

The floor for 70k miles is $700. So you're getting a good redemption rate vs. the $800 flight and a great redemption rate for the $1300 ticket.

67.5K RT in Economy to South America
70K RT to Asia 1 (South Korea, Japan) in Coach
75K RT to Europe in Coach, 160K in Business

Those are some good redemptions on Delta. If none of those really interest you, go with your Hawaiin option.

Where do you find this information, is it just a search on travel sites for From/To and pick dates?
