Checking/Savings offers for bonus money

Do any of you open these accounts just for the bonus? Was looking and saw that Capital One has an offer for .75% apr and $500 bonus if you open savings with $50k for 90 days. Looks like you could do one in your name and one in spouse's name as well to get up to $1000 bonus. Was thinking about doing this, seems like a pretty good deal and can put the money toward a new full frame camera

100k in savings doesn't seem like a bright idea, depending on age.

UCB and Neighbors both have 2% rewards checking accounts.

you have $100k and are giddy about making $1k in a savings account to buy a camera?

Check the fine print. Chase has a $200 offer for a 15k deposit after 90 days. BUT you can't close the account for 6 months after opening or the $200 gets deducted from the closing withdrawal.
