Charting of 10k and 10q Data

Is anyone familiar with a website or tool that allows you to plot a company's trends of Revenue, EBITDA, Capital Investment, etc. I find myself reading various 10k and 10q reports and writing the trends down by hand. Surely there is an easier way.

Was thinking the same thing.

I guess I should have been more specific.
Whether capturing trends by hand or in Excel, I have to read each individual 10k or 10q to extract the numbers. It seems like a website or something would already have all of this data extracted, grouped into data series, and with a simple interface for plotting.

SEC is the only thing I can think of

You could extract into Excel pretty easily

You can download most of the data and chart it yourself. If you really want to be a baller, the answer is CapIQ.

XBRL was mandated to allow just this - not sure if anyone uses it though or knows how to use it

I have been looking online for ways to get the XBRL data for free into Excel.
So far,
- XBRLAnalyst looks pretty sweet but costs $999 per year.
- FreeXBRLonline is only FREE for a subset of companies that I am not really interested in
- SEC.gov is generous enough to provide a tool to extract the data, but it of course involves "rendering" the data through use of command line prompts and batch files. Geez. Thanks but no thanks.
- XBRLxl.com is a free tool to extract to Excel and seemed promising. But when I downloaded some data from the web interface, a lot of the key data in the Excel sheet was nulled out. Then I tried to use their Excel template but couldn't get the queries to Refresh with my new ticker symbols.
That's about all I have the patience to scout out tonight. Maybe I will look around tomorrow to see if I can find anything better.

Bump for posters back from winter break...
I never did have much luck figuring out a free way to get this data in Excel.
