Can I pay my monthly car loan installments with a CC?

I have searched and can't seem to find anything that gets into using a CC for monthly auto loan payments. I have a loan through Honda financial on a newer vehicle. I also have a vehicle reimbursement allotment that comes from my company every month into a specific checking account. Instead of just transferring the balance from my checking to Honda Financial, can I use the CC to pay Honda Financial and then transfer from the checking to the CC. I'm kind of a points whore and it would add a nice amount to my frequent flyer program.

I was trying to do the same thing to gain points...for my Toyota..it will not let you pay with credit card. Only Debit Card or electronic check/check.

I'm sure you could, but they would probably charge you a service fee that would wipe out any points benefits you might get.

I pay mine through American Express Serve. It allows you to load $1k/month fee free with a CC to pay bills with. Although I believe I read it is going away soon.

Usully cannot pay debt with other debt.
