I make more than her. Just playing.

I have no idea, but I'll respond to keep it bumped.

From dictionary.com...

Is it a commissioned base job? Maybe a minimum of $50,000 per year if she sucks at sales...

It means that either she'll receive $45,000 of salary and $5,000 of other comp like disability insurance premium payments, or if it's a large corporation, the position is $45,000 company-wide and cost of living or something similar adjusts it upward to $50,000.
