Nice ride. Not cheap!

I would like to get a new truck, but the prices are killing me. I am a tightwad at heart.

I should have said max liability to qualify for umbrella policy. I have $250k/$500k.

So what would be an acceptable level to go to? Or what's a good way to figure that out?

i'll just say this, teenage driver.... carry the coverage.

100/300/100 would be the minimum and if you can afford the premium increase to 250/500/100 then do it. Better to have and protect yourself. Carry a minimum of 50/100 um.

Comprehensive and collision - though not required as both cars are owned outright

That’s way too high. I’m in Nola area with same coverage, plus 100/300 UM, and comp and collision, for $1400 every 6 months on a 2019 and 2023 vehicle

For those thinking if they don’t carry higher limits Gordon won’t come after you you are wrong. If you have a good income or assets you will pay. If you are broke as shite and have nothing to lose carry 25/50. Our agency has had two $1 million type losses in the last seven years. Customer carried high limits and umbrella so it was covered.
