Chick at work just got sponsored for series 7 though that isn't applicable to our jobs. Was pretty much told you have to get sponsored to be eligable to take them.

Any experience is welcome.

I guess I'd be interested in series 7, series 3, and a few others depending on where my career heads.

I have my 6. Don't plan to get any others and don't really use my 6. It was a ton of information on the test but not terribly difficult.

Definitely have to be sponsored to sit for the 7. Never taken it but can't be that hard based on some folks I know who have passed it. Kidding, sort of.

I had the 7, 66, and ins license in 13, can't imagine much changed since then. What would you like to know.

Self studied to pass the Series 3 exam and then never even used it or registered before it expired after 2 years. You don't need to be sponsored to take the Series 3, but unless you want to spend a ton of money to start up your own broker business or get a company to register the actual license for you, its pretty worthless.

I have them all from my earlier career: 6,63,65,82....ask away they're all a beeyotch to study for. I really dont miss those days of cram sessions for those exams. The pros are if you have them your pay is going to be significantly higher.

I self studied for the Series 7 and Series 66 using one of the review program's books. You can get by memorizing the material unless they have changed the exam. Take the Serie 7 first. The Series 66 is easy.

I thought the 66 was twice as hard as the 7. That shite was like watching paint dry on a wall, were never sure which answer was correct. Also just took my AAMS, that wasn't bad.

Exactly. I hated the 66, but enjoyed the 7.

I have my 7 and 66. People make them out to be harder than they are in my opinion.

66 is tricky as hell though.

ETA: 66 algorithm doesn't choose your next test question until it knows your answer for the previous question. So if you are struggling with a topic, it will just hammer you with like 5 consecutive questions on it.
