I've been buying all year when it dipped below $18.50. I am sitting it out for now. But watching. It is getting interesting at the 52 week low. If it sniffs $17.50 I'll jump in big.

Do as you wish but I think I will let it bounce and catch it on the way back up.

I don't think you will have long to wait.

I've already lost enough money on SLV.

I don't think so either...I've tried a few gold longs lately and I get bounced out every single time. Also, SLV and silver spot price have built a base at the 18 level going back to June 2013. If that breaks down the drop could be quick and nasty.

At today's rate, it will hit $17.50 tomorrow.

JMHO but every slight increase in T-bills and interest rates is going to lead to a corresponding decrease in both metal and stock prices. This "recovery" is based on people not placing savings in bonds or interest bearing accounts as has been the historical norm. As rates rise it will be interesting to see what happens. Again just the opinion of a random redneck.

I'll be jumping in at $17.50 if it gets there. I'll also be buying quite a bit of physical silver if spot drops below $18.00

I went long October $18.00 SLV calls.

I'm long Sept contracts at $18.58.

Edit, I'm up one tick on the SLV equity trade, and up four ticks on the future's contracts.

"Interest rates"

Good to see someone else that follows bonds. I really like a ten year t-note short over the coming months. This is 10-yr note (ZN in futures) decreasing in value while 10-yr yield goes up. 3.5 to 4% 10 yr yield isn't out of the question with the ECB QE program going on over the next 1-2 years.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.....now let's discuss what's really important: Are the Hawkeyes going to cover the 10 points against Iowa St on Saturday???

Scherff is out for a while. He's supposedly the 9th to 12th player picked in the draft next year. I fear we lose to both ISU and Pitt. Who knows. I'm better at predicting investments, which isn't saying a lot, than predicting college football.
