Any thoughts on investing in Pot?

I was just flipping around the web looking for a few speculative investing ideas. Found something on Forbes about pot companies. I did some basic research and there are several publicly traded companies in both the medical and recreational marajuana business.
Mostly small cap/penny stock types. Not sure how legit they all are. At least one company might have a CEO who did serious jail time. With recent and upcoming changes in legalization this might be a worthwhile spec play.
A few ticker symbols I looked at include hemp, Ftix, and cbis.
Any thoughts?

Well those stocks should certainly scratch that itch. Although you'd probably have a higher NEV betting Seattle +3.

I put some money in MJNA (penny stock), its up 20%+ today. Purely a speculative play. Figured it was one of the better green stocks to go with since it actually contained "marijuna" in its company name. Its also pretty liquid with around 15 millions shares traded daily. Its trading around .27 cents as of now. I'm going to forget about it and check back in a couple of months.

I've been riding Fitx up since .0221 pps but not sure when the ride is gonna stop. The arc view conference today should provide some more info on some of the pot stocks as some of the companies are giving presentations to try to get investors.

I bought it about 2 weeks ago at .22 cents

FITX has been on an insane run, much like the rest of the pot sector.
hell, ERBB just announced that it's got pot vending machines that they're placing in dispensaries today and it's prob gonna go on a multi-day run.

Spent much of a lazy day off from work doing some research.
FITX is interesting cause I think it's basically a mail order steroid company working both sides of the USA/Canadian border. It doesn't even sell weed yet, buts its claiming it will. There's a ton people trying to pump this stock up on twitter, YouTube, and message boards.
Hemp inc seems legit, but most articles I get my eyes on are their own press releases. I think the CEO also might have done some jail time.
Cbis seems the most legit, and might be more of a pharma company.
ERBB I'm not sure. I can't buy a .01 stock. It's not like you can buy more if it drops.
Forbes, USA today, Barron's, and motley fool have all addressed a handful of these companies. Most with extreme skepticism. I spread about $500 around a few. We'll see what happens.

I figure in the long term the best companies for this would be cigarette companies since they could easily tool for mass production once legalization heats up.
So I guess you're looking for the companies most likely to be bought out at this juncture.

Hemp hit .27 a share today, so I dumped my shares. I bought at .044. I'm thinking about selling CBIS as well now that its up 50%.
I'm not exactly sure what's driving these prices up. The valuations don't seem right, hard to find accurate info, and it all smells like a pump and dump scheme.
I've never messed around with penny stocks before. But it's been a fun 2 1/2 weeks. Considering most of my portfolio has been melting over the same timeframe.

Sold my last one today (erbb). I'm out until I find something legit in the sector. It was fun and at 150% very profitable
