LSURussian has gained a billion dollars in less than 30 days. Let that sink in.
Auburn Chief has lost 50% of his 25million in 30 days
I have gained 2.9 million, mostly off the Netflix split and the recent jump up too $125+ a share.
Edging closer and closer to 10 million

Neither actually, I worked all day.
I made 2.2 million last week playing around with dgaz in the game. Could've made a hell of a lot more if I had bought it last Friday under 6$ a share.
Dwti is up 30$ today too...

All I know right now is I am buying shares of Weyerhauser. It is $28 a share right now and is normally around $30-31 a share.
If you don't know them, they are one of the largest pine mills in the nation. If the housing market takes off again I could see them pushing up to $35+ again.
Oh and Walmart at $65 ? Something seems wrong there.

I owned WY from 16-27ish a few years back...added it to watch..thanks....it looks cheap.
I would be interested in the Russian fund as well...
This has really for me been a way to track ideas I have and see if they work without getting crushed. Selling IRL for 100k loss I'm not sure I could do..

I am in the industry, I know a little bit.
Like, our biggest competitor, Armstrong is setting itself up to split into two companies.
One that strictly does flooring and one that does all other wood products. Biggest reason is because their flooring is not as profitable.
They go out and buy green Lumber 5-10% over market so that they can suck up all the sawmills around Tennessee. But they don't make money to stay profitable doing that. Like right now the going rates on fresh cut green Oak is at near 5 year lows. Mostly because the Chinese have not been buying kiln dried for 8-12 months. The Chinese are out of the game for awhile, and this market correction plays a part in it. Not to be all doom and gloom but this could be a repeat of 2009 if the Chinese are down for the count, imo.

Since you can't see the standings, shown below is the top ten at the beginning of today.
If oR33Do wants the gift card, please give it to him. He's done a fantastic job making money with a fraction of the number of trades I've made. I'd declare him the winner if the contest ended today.
FYI, about a month ago the website did something to their program that totally screwed it up. They stopped updating the balances real time and sometimes don't even update them for an entire trading day. Also, at least twice in the past month portfolio balances mysteriously changed without any trades being made, and I'm not referring to interest being credited on the cash held.
One morning my portfolio balance dropped over $500 million even though I had no holdings in my account and I had not made any trades the previous day.
I sort of lost interest in the game after that happened....
