Quit dreaming folks. If he leaves the Dodgers, any MLB team can run at him and they ALL have the money to buy him out

LSU was going to pay him $100,000,000.00?

How do you figure this? You guarantee? You've made nasty posts about Zach in the past. Seems to me, you are a jelly douche.

I don't like the kid at all for what he did to Lsu. I dont give a shite about the money do the right thing when you make a commitment honor it. For those of you who want to talk dollars let's talk about Pat Tillman who turned down dollars to die for his county. Now that's a role model not some punk kid. I could care less if his arm is blown out it's called karma

I always heard that, as soon as the Dodgers missed payroll, MLB would pick up the tab, take control of the Dodgers and look to sell.

Does the bankruptcy do away with this plan?

It amazes me how many football players who pass on LSU or get kicked off the team end up with things not working out. I'm mainly talking about the athletes who want to play at LSU or who have played.

It is scary sometimes, isn't it?

Yea, I believe he can never play NCAA baseball after signing a professional contract.

He meant that Lee would have ended up being a First Round, Top Ten pick...had he gone to LSU.

Z.Lee
5-1, 3.47 ERA, 49.1 innings, 44 K, 15 BB

Those numbers are not Great but they are not bad for a kid out of high school. He is the real deal in baseball and had he gone to LSU, he would have easily been drafted in Top Ten by a team that could pay him, just sayin.

The money the Dodgers threw at him was a joke to begin with. They knew this was going to happen yet they OVERPAID to make sure they got him and now can not pay the contract.

He will get his money one way or another though. He is being paid basically as if he were a Top 10 pick already. There are no guarantees that he would have made more (and certainly none that he would make "20 times" more) by coming to LSU. It is a joke of a comment by a bitter douchebag.

Yeah, I agree.

The worst part of this whole deal is that MLB should never have allowed this contract to take place. It was over slot, and they set precedence the year before with the Twins by not letting them sign the kid who went on to pitch
TCU into the finals.

But, because of the L.A. market, and the Dodgers brand name, they looked the other way. Typical bullshite.

This thread is full of rantardness.

MLB cannot stop a team from signing a player over slot. They can only "discourage" it. Teams have signed players over slot for years and years. MLB cannot "disallow" these contracts.

How much over slot do you think Strasburg's deal was?

And, as far as I know (trying to see through your illogical thinking), you're talking about Matt Purke, who was drafted by the Rangers. MLB did not allow that signing because they were in financial control of the Rangers, unlike the Dodgers at the time of the Lee signing.

Learn something.

It only matters if they get to the game being played tonight, otherwise, who cares?

I'm glad the QB situation is fixed.. probably for the better, and we don't have to give a shite about Zach Lee anymore.
