River Road was completely clear at 10:30am for that game. Why don't you people plan accordingly? You know it's a big SEC event. Instead, you blame the powers that be for your terrible planning.

Careful. If you don't bash Alleva for every personal inconvenience you have, you're deemed an idiot who probably works for the Athletic Department.

I think Joe and the Admin are nervous about the empty seats currently and they know they have more seats opening up next year. They are trying to appease the fans and get them back in the stadium. If does not look good when the CBS announcers mention the fact that the stadium is empty.

If there are 15000 empty seats at a quality SEC matchup now when we are winning, just think of the empty seats when we aren't doing as well.

I also think a lot of the fans have become spoiled with LSU's success. If the team isn't undefeated and a shoe-in for the national championship, they would rather stay home.

LSU has had a really great run of success since the early 2000s. The Admin has reaped tons of money during that period. They have raised ticket fees. They charge fees to park on campus. I think we may be at a point now where some of the fans have decided to stay at home rather than attend the games. It apparently has not affected season ticket sales yet but I would think it is a possibility.

MT, all 5 are true and that is why I enjoyed it as a good old fashioned defensive throwback for what it was. However for most fans today this is not exciting football and my point was this contributed I think to lack of loud crowd noise for a lot of the game since we are spoiled this season with the high powered O shown in first 6 games especially with the warm conditions some folks were having trouble dealing with. As stated I was lucky not to encounter the traffic situation others did and could deal with the heat. If you want to hate those fans that had a problem with it but are paying for season tickets this is your right I suppose.
Lets see how different A&M game is, will be like night and day I bet!

ENTERING THE STADIUM As you know, construction on the South End addition of the stadium has eliminated some of our entrance gates for this season. We’ve noticed that a large volume of fans who sit on the West Side of the stadium have been attempting to enter at the Southwest corner (Gates 1, 2 and 3), causing delays in getting through the gates. Please be aware that Gates 4, 5 and 6 at the Northwest corner may also be used for entering the stadium. Utilizing all six of our gates on the West Side and arriving at the gates as early as possible will help to expedite your entry into the stadium.

Dear Joe Alleva,

Thank you for your condescending bullshite. Here's an idea... make some physical compensations for the temporary lack of SEZ gates and employ some ticket takers with a bit of sense.

For example, there is no reason not to double the number of ticket takers INSIDE the West gates by allowing fans to enter the permanent aisles then fanning out to more lines under the stands. There is plenty enough room. Doing so would also provide shade to allow your ticket takers to see the screens on their scanning devices... which seemed to be their biggest problem. Arriving 45 minutes before kickoff should be PLENTY of time to enter the stadium for anybody, and it's a bit insulting to advise well-paying ticket holders to get there earlier.

Sincerely,
Rex

To allow people who want to get inside and cook in their seats ridiculously early an opportunity to get inside and cook in their seats ridiculously early?

No I'm not hating on anybody. I'm just saying that if that game didn't get your juices flowing then the problem might not be with the game itself. I wasn't there dealing with the heat and traffic and certainly I can see how that might have dampened the enthusiasm. But as for the game itself, it was everything I hoped it would be.

Er, no. I mean arriving at the gate, itself. There's no reason anybody should be made to stand in the sun for 45 minutes at the gate, regardless of construction or the opponent. There was an easy fix to the gate problem, the one I just suggested, but the tone of Mr. Alleva's letter doesn't give me confidence that he's really interested in solution ideas.

After seeing the way the Duke Lacrosse matter was handled does anyone actually think that Joe Alleva is going to make the right decisions on anything? I don't.

I really wish this game day experience crap would just go away, so we can get back to the real important bitching...
Miles is an idiot
Miles has taken over the offense, defense, special teams (whatever one is having an off day)
Miles promoted Malveto, so he makes lots of mistakes
Miles has lost control of ___________
Fire Chavis, game has passed him by
Fire Stud, OL sucks
Fire Ensminger, he sucks
Fire Raymond, he sucks
Fire Moffitt, team is soft
Fire Cameron (soon as the offense has an off-game, you can bet this one will be coming)
Fire Ausbury - schedule sucks (of course, same people bitching about the schedule would be calling for heads if we scheduled all 9 remaining top 10 teams at home and lost one by 3 points)
Fire ___________ (know I am missing someone)
Sit _______, he sucks

Say what you want about the parking/traffic situation. I get it. Or bring up his mishandling of the Duke Lax scandal. Fair game.

But to say that Alleva has done anything but a great job at LSU really really shows your ignorance.

God you are as stupid as they come. I was hoping that someone on this board would be familiar with the terms of the contract with this consulting group.

This board has been bitching for three days over the Florida game traffic without one person, that I saw, mentioning a LSU traffic study already underway, but you thought we had people familiar with the contract?

And I'm stupid.

if the traffic debacle this past weekend was the result of implementing one of their recommendations from observing the traffic conditions to games prior to this one.

Right, with one SEC game so far this season to study, they made recommendations which caused the Florida game problems.

You are a clueless frick just trying to cover his arse after making a dumb post.

Let it go.

You ARE stupid. That doesn't mean that someone reading the board doesn't know about it. I guarantee you there are plenty of people that read and post on this board that work at LSU.

I thought Auburn was a home game? I was there so pretty sure Florida wasn't the first SEC game at home. And we had two other home games before that. And while not SEC games, it is not out of bounds to think that these consultants were also doing their "traffic study" for the Kent State and UAB games as well.

Hope the traffic situation gets cleared like said I didn't have this but now everyone goes my way and I'll get stuck!
