Y'all are all making this so hard. All we have to do is have one losing season, then we'll get rid of all the bandwagon fans and only have 50,000 people on campus on game days instead of 100,000. Bring back Curley Hallman; he'd fix our parking problem right away.

Chief of the GBFTL? Yes, most definitely. Not now. After the season. In over his head more than anybody else at LSU!

I've historically left Metairie at 10 am for 2:30 games. I've never even come close to missing kickoff. Been doing this since I can remember. I missed kickoff this game.
Then you have to leave earlier from now on.

Guess I must have missed the traffic holdup, but luckily never have any problem so here is my secret route: Come from I-10 WB exit Acadian left to the lakeshore drive at back of campus and on to Highland. I do pay for parking in CEBA lot 305 but worth every penny the $400 since leave Lakeview area around 11:30 this game and was in spot by 1PM. There was a slight delay past College dr (about 10 min.) but nothing like what others went through.
For my seats east side, gate 11 was empty and generally never a line. I had time to walk around to PMAC and noticed the cluster at those gates.
As for the heat, yes it was very warm for Oct. and can see why some had a hard time. Luckily still in good enough shape my age to tough it out with a cap and the terrible towel until 2nd half some relief from clouds.
Game was boring face it due to the game plan vs UF but was successful so will take it!
Leaving is always the same from CEBA, diverted to Highland and south with contraflow to Lee then east to I-10. Always congested past College but was not as bad this game and generally takes 45 Min from the lot to I-10 ramp then cruise back to NO about 1:15.
I can see the frustration those that park elsewhere and are stuck for hours leaving, if this was the case don't know if could do it.
Bring on the webels and Gumps!

I am sure there is enough that goes on on LSU's campus on a daily basis (like regular classes) that a parking garage would be used more than just 7 times a year.
But it isn't necessary. If it were, there would be one.

Give me a break. The traffic study guys were just hired and are just beginning their study of LSU game day traffic flow problems and you want them to give LSU a refund or information on what they have discovered. Your demand for a refund was clown material and your question was juvenile.

If you aren't on meds, you should be.

Now the game plan is keeping people away too? Great.

Oh...glad you got to settle for the victory despite the gameplan...you are a great fan and a real trooper

Just hired? Do you have a reading comprehension problem? It isn't like this started this week. Joe Alleva's letter states in pertinent part:

quote:

Before the football season, the Athletic Department contracted with a gameday traffic consulting group to evaluate our current traffic plan. The group was on site this past weekend for the Florida game, and it will again review our operations during the Texas A&M game next month.

Presumably they were not out there for the first time this past week. I asked in my subsequent post:

quote:

Do you know what the study entails? Do you know when the consultants are supposed to make recommendations on implementing the traffic plan?

You offered nothing substantive in response.

So now you tell me to give you a break. Why don't you give me a break? I asked several pertinent questions and you just troll me with your responses. I didn't demand a refund. I asked "if" LSU could request a refund which is not unreasonable in the slightest given the circumstances.

Your response to my questions was clown material and juvenile. Kindly go throw yourself into a wood chipper. Is that better?

Did you think was an exciting game? You are on heavy drugs if thought it was; and that didn't keep people away but it may have been (definitely was)a factor in the LOW CROWD NOISE during, but I understand the reasoning and was screaming nontheless. Were you at the game? Have you been a season ticket holder/fan since the 60's?
I know you don't sound very bright for LSU grad but as has been beaten to death the traffic was a BIG factor according to many accounts and I said this was not in my case even JA said in his apology this was a factor!
Yes I am a bigger fan than you I can assure!

Yes, meaning this season to study the problems they see this season. Hard for them to have been on campus last season since whey were not hired yet.

Why would LSU request a refund for a study or report not yet finished and not submitted to them?

You first post was lame and your following ones were too.

Move the frick on.

God you are as stupid as they come. I was hoping that someone on this board would be familiar with the terms of the contract with this consulting group.

For one thing, if the traffic debacle this past weekend was the result of implementing one of their recommendations from observing the traffic conditions to games prior to this one. However, we don't know the answer to that question. Which is why I asked when they are supposed to submit their recommendations and you said nothing other than to question my mental health.

There is not a parking problem at LSU for games. There are many free parking spots near the stadium that go unused. Here's an example.

I saw you post this yesterday in the other thread, and I commented then, but I just don't see how this is possible. I left Metairie at 9:15, parked just east of the Cow Palace at 10:30, and had 3 hours to tailgate. How on earth did it take you over 4 and half hours to get from Metairie to your seats in Tiger Stadium? If this really is true, you need to find a better way to get to campus.

yes, I thought it was an exciting game. Why?

1. it's LSU-Florida
2. LSU defense showed up
3. the LSU ground game was gloriously ripping out the Gators' hearts in the 2nd half.
4. it never got more than an 11-point difference
5. it's LSU-Florida!

Hell yeah it was an exciting game. If you don't think that was a good football game then you're doing it wrong.

Funny thing is, I was sitting on river road for over an hour when Alleva came driving by with a police escort parting traffic.

River Road was completely clear at 10:30am for that game. Why don't you people plan accordingly? You know it's a big SEC event. Instead, you blame the powers that be for your terrible planning.
