And, that's another point. Let's say Wade gets "all that's coming to him". Like Bruce Pearl, he'll be right back in the mix in a few years.

He's proving that he can coach talent; that's not as easy as people make it out to be.

Kentucky and Duke basically field a completely new team EVERY YEAR

Yea, muh Kentucky and Duke. The literal blue bloods of college basketball. Like Bama and Clemson in college football, the top notch players want to go to these schools. They don't have to be cajoled, coaxed, even seduced to choose these schools.

I hope Will Wade skates more than anyone and proves no wrongdoing...but it's not looking promising.

You're under the impression that Clemson is a blue blood?

Are you saying those 4 schools don’t offer incentives?

Clemson was not considered a "blue blood" in college football for a long time.

Hell, I'd argue LSU has a longer history of being a basketball "blue blood" than Clemson does in football.

ETA, plus my point was sort of that college football to basketball is apples to oranges. You can create an elite basketball team in one year much easier than you can a football team. It's not commonplace, but it shouldn't really be deemed unfathomable.

While I agree about the Clemson thing, y'all are missing the point: Kentucky does not give a shite about LSU.

To think that Cal or Kentucky give a shite about LSU is laughable. Oh LSU is good again and they got a good recruit, ooooooh. Let's go whack their program like we're living in a Sopranos episode. Give me a break. Kentucky dealt with Florida and Tennessee being good for years. They don't care about LSU.

I think you're confusing the level to which Kentucky would be involved.

They absolutely care that we got Smart and that we beat them in their house.

No, they aren't pulling strings with the FBI. That's ludicrous. But I would bet money that they are pushing info to Pat Forde and asking him to time the release for maximum harm to LSU.

Every school Calipari has coached at has gone on probation after he left. Coincidence? I think not.

Cal saw Smart was leaning LSU and put the squeeze on Dawkins. This is big time sleaze ball college basketball recruiting stuff - it is a cesspool (way worse than Washington DC).

The Sopranos provides insight into this entire thread. You have a coach of arguably the most successful program in America with an Italian surname, and immediately he's guilty of some kind of crooked shenanigans.

Lol. Typically huge cheaters are not drawing attention to anyone cheating. Dont want anyone looking for that sort of thing.

Unless you know youre immune to it. Calipari has been CAUGHT cheating everywhere he's been and always lands up. He's at one of the biggest, if not the biggest, college basketball programs of all time and now all of a sudden he's clean. Yea, Im sure John Wall, Anthony Davis, Nerlens Noel, Julius Randle, and Karl Anthony Towns went to UK because theyve wanted to be a Wildcat from birth...nothing to see here...

Every one sees the sky falling including the media but after the NCAA let UNC off the hook for 20+ yrs of fake academic records across several sports I dont see them even looking at this...

This is an FBI matter and Wade/Miller are material witnesses and not targets. I would testify and plead the 5th or agree to cooperate if their testimony is sealed.

Considering Calipari has had two Final Four appearances revoked from Memphis and UMass; The guy will do whatever it takes to win. College basketball is controlled by Shoe companies and agents, NCAA is a joke
