Throw out the 11 season, It is a outlier.

Miles has made enough mistakes every season, with the exception of 1 to lose a min of 2 games.

Yes we have a talented team, yes we have many returning starters, yes we have talented young players coming into the system.

History shows, we will not only lose a couple games, but it will be the most important games in regards to us moving forward towards the playoff.

Coaching matters, but everyone can be happy, because it will be another 10 win season.

All that said, I cant wait to watch the tigers play.

Go back to every season since 2007 and tell me where this is also true.

Blame it on Les if you want. But the constant migration of juniors to the NFL hurts subsequent teams immensely.

I'm not going into this season with an expectation that I should be happy with a 10 win season so we can brag about how many 10 win seasons we have just so we can make an appearance in the Capital One Bowl or the Peach Bowl.

This is a season that the expectation should be win the SEC go to the final 4 and see what happens.

That is the expectation. And it is the expectation of this team and coaching staff. If this turns to be a season with poor QB play and statements like "the Quarterback is doing everything we are asking him to do" then you know there is a problem. All that will mean is we are handing the ball off and throwing the occasional 50 yard pass down the sideline.

It takes more than pure skill and ability to win a national championship. It takes an incredible team, a favorable schedule, and a bit of luck all bottled up into a perfect storm. shite happens. Get over it.

Yea just throw out his best season (arguably one of the best in CFB history) to make your point.

Throw out that whole Holocaust thing, and Adolf was a pretty decent guy....

the Peach Bowl

You do realize the Peach Bowl is part of the CFP this year right?

It is less than a week before fall camp starts and a little over a month before we get to see football. How are you guys so negative? What is the point of following the team if they make you this miserable in July? Maybe I'm different but if LSU made me as miserable as you guys seem I would just find something else to do with my free time. Watching LSU is a choice.

Actually, if you've watched any of either of the conventions, you can deny history completely!

I've never understood this mentality. You have no faith in Miles to win, so why watch? Just turn off the television or sell your tickets. Today is July 28, this is the time to be uber-optimistic. If you are truly championship or bust and know for a fact that Miles can't win one, whats the point.

but that does not stop you from tossing out history to fit your narrative... Maybe you should post on the Political Board...

Also, History has proven that in CFB... History is not a predictor of the future... If it was, Spurrier would be winning championships at SC...

"It's happened every year... except for this one time it didn't, but I'll just ignore that. So it has to happen again." Tempering expectations is one thing, but it must suck to go into a season with that mindset.

I think realistic expectation can be set at 10-2 season.

We have a new coordinator. I think he will be successful, but I am just not going to anoint this defense as the '85 Bears just yet like most are.

Will Brandon Harris play better? I think having Cam on the sidelines will help.

Do we finally beat Auburn and Florida on the road in same season? Is it probable. but the Swamp is always tough.
