O is just doing what has been working for Nick Saban has already been doing. Hiring coaches and advisors. The difference is that from day one Nick has a no nonsense, business approach. O is just getting started,we will see what happens as a result. Pessimist or gonna be pessimistic.

I am Actually not predicting failure

I am Saying if we succeed it will be because other coaches picked up the enormous amount of slack O leaves behind.

I think the appropriate statement is you can't be a bad coach and use the CEO model.

Those coaches doing the heavy lifting still need direction. If you have no history of sustained success leading an organization then that lack of vision/direction will trickle down to your staff and players. Not rocket science. The head coach matters.

Urban Meyers has an offensive philosophy.
Dabo has an offensive philosophy

Both of hem have fielded good offenses with different OCs. More importantly, their offense doesn’t make huge changes when they hire new OC. Because it’s their offense.

If we hired a new DC tomorrow the defense would be his defense not O.

The offense is going to look completely different because this isn’t Os offense and he has no philosophy.

O isn’t Urban or Dabo.

I am not talking about defensive personnel. This topic is about coaches, and advisors that help get the job done. This poster is saying that if O needs all of that, then he is not good, but that's Nick Saban way of doing things also. Nick just has a really high level of accountability.lsu didn't even change qb's in the National Championship game, who does that, basically conceding victory.

gotta love the idiots on the rant...

if the coaches and LSU fail it is Os fault
if the coaches and LSU win it has nothing to do w O.

O is hiring guys with experience, some on the NFL level. There is no way anybody should be talking about them needing vision and direction.Have you ever heard that coaching is the same at every level. That is why Auburn's coach, and the Philadelfia Eagles coach were High school coaches that are successful on a higher level.
