Wear your teams gear is a big plus. Bring a bunch of Yankee beer we can't get here so you can have something of trade value. Wander around greeting folks. It won't be hard to fit in.

3) Don't get so drunk that you ruin the experience. The food is off the charts. The campus is beautiful. The women are special. And Tiger stadium is an iconic venue. Cosume some adult beverages but "Don't peak too soon!"

I tell all my friends that tailgating is a marathon, not a race! They get there and start pounding whiskey early and often. By noon they are passed out. I start drinking at 8 or 9 and hit my best buzz around lunch and then go on cruise control from there!!

This is a good idea and something I didn't think about.

Do this:

Wear a BGSU hat with a LSU shirt. That way you show respect for both schools and it's a conversation starter for LSU fans.

People will be excited that you came down for the experience.

BG alumni myself and went to first home game 2 years ago vs Bama. Your friends will have a blast even if they wont admit the environment was way better than at northern schools. I suggest a backpack, small cooler, etc that you won't mind ditching on the way into the game.

I fervently hope that they put that game at an 8:15 p.m. kickoff.

And I hope both teams are unbeaten or maybe one loss each.

The 2012 LSU-bama game environment was something I hadn't witnesses since Fla '07 and '97, Tenn '00, FSU '82, and USC '79.
You could cut the tension, enthusiasm, and adrenalin with a fricking machete.
Even when we fell behind 14-3 at halftime, not a fricking SOUL left.
When we went ahead, it was belam.
Had we held on to win, they would have had to rebuild Tiger Stadium.

We might have 104K on November 8.

I was wondering how acceptable it is to go around and mingle with other groups. (Keep in mind tailgating isn't very big at BGSU so this is new territory for us). We'd love to try some cajun food and get the full LSU experience. Can we just walk up with some beer and start socializing? Don't worry - we'll have plenty of beer.

You wont have a problem. Just let folks know where youre from and that you just want to have a good time and experience the SEC. If you have any issues come down by the vet clinic and throw down with us. We'll be there by about 5 Friday night

The biggest day in history was when Gameday came for the Northern Illinois game. The rest of the country was probably pissed but that campus was rocking(for BG )

Well the prices should be coming down. Not sure if you've already bought any. I knew there was no way we'd both be undefeated, but this is going to turn out to be just a "decent" game on the schedule.

This worked out well for me. I bought four tickets in the lower bowl (section 419) immediately following the Auburn game for $200 apiece.

We are a similar age group (23-27) and we are throwing a huge tailgate for the game. Y'all are more than welcome to stop by.

We are a pretty lively bunch that enjoys the full tailgating/college football experience (aka lots of booze).

Y'all should fit right in

Headed to New Orleans. Be careful while partying there. The French Quarter can be entertaining. Don't stray to far from the quarter if you end up going there. A block or two can make a huge difference.
