Y'all think Fournette joins the LSU freshman RB 1,000 yard club?

With 343 yards and 4 games in between him and accomplishing one of his biggest preseason goals, does he get it done? He would need an average of 85 yards a game and while he he should go off on A&M, we're facing stout defenses in Alabama, Arkansas and a probable quality bowl opponent. I say he pulls a Justin Vincent and goes over the grand mark by 10-15 yards.

If he stays healthy, no doubt he gets it

657+88+103+125=973

Yep 973 and 12 Tds is what I foresee.

ETA: With bowl game over 1,000 but it is hard for me to see that far into the future.

If the road graders show up for the next 3 games like they have for the last 3, absolutely. On a sidenote, I like how the coaching staff has used the whole platoon of backs. They ALL contribute. Have to believe that fact is not lost on Guice and Brosette(?).

Oh they know they will get plenty of carries. Just look at these stats and insert Brossette and Guice where Magee and Hilliard are. Don't forget about Ducre either whom much to the chagrin of Guice, Lester Earl and I believe could end up being the best back in the current class.

Leonard Fournette--131 attempts for 657 yards
Terrence Magee--69 attempts for 418 yards
Kenny Hilliard--84 attempts for 416 yards
Darrel Williams --50 attempts for 250 yards

Hard to say which freshmen next year would play more. It looks like Williams will be the pass protect rb.

He'll get 200 of those vs Bama.

The way he is fed, with 18 carries a game at 5 ypc, no doubt.

I think explodes against TAMU though.

It will also be interesting to see an all underclassmen backfield. I can't remember the last time we had only true freshmen/sophomores on the RB depth chart and the scary thing is it will probably be the best backfield we've ever had.

LSU has had some beastly backfield in the past, so time will tell if they will be tops all time, but make no doubt about it, LSU's backfield next year will be explosive.

If he gets 25 carries versus A&M, he'll get 200 yards. Their defense is shite

Arkansas and Bama will be tough. I think he ends up right in the neighbourhood. The bowl game should allow him to get it for sure though. That's an elite club….only 1 member so far with 1,001 yards (basically in 7 games).

He's not going anywhere. He's just enjoying the free food/attention/white women. He's all LSU.

I like his chances. I'm sure he'll get it. I can't add anymore than what everyone has already said since I agree with them.

It's going to be scary good backfield next year.
